Success is peace of mind which is a direct result of self - satisfaction in knowing you did your best to become the best that you are capable of becoming. John Wooden
SUN! Welcome to our PSR Blog Mr. Wolf! For those who don't know, Mr. Wolf is the Martial Arts Instructor for the Mosinee High School and has been a close associate and friend for many years. He also runs the Wellness Education Dept. for the HS. He has coached on the HS and university level for many years as well. And if I'm not mistaken, this blog was one of his (along with Master Crane) ideas too.
One of the other ideas that Mr. Wolf and I have been kicking around for several years is producing a "good" set of instructional DVD's for use as a student resource. What are everyones thoughts as to what should be on these, and how they could/should be formatted. All ideas are appreciated.
I really appreciate the videos that include both the real-time recording of the technique as well as the half-speed version. It helps me pick up a few of the subtleties within the technique that my half-speed brain cannot process in real-time.
I believe it would be very beneficial as it is sometimes difficult to absorb and internalize everything from a class/lesson.
I often reference the "forms" videos on the web-site and find them very helpful.
As far as content, I would like to see it all but here's a start: PaSaRyu History/Creed, etc Expectations of students Class etiquette Ranking description Terminology Basic stretches and exercises Stances Kicks Punches Forms BoBuSool (simple self defense) Yahk Soak Deta (promise sparring) Cho Kup Son Mok Sol (wrist Tech) Hapkido techniques Sparring 101 and etiquette
As for format - I don't have strong knowledge here but Windows Media Player appears popular.
